We're finally checked into our room after a loooong hot flight - the lovely snow storm had us in the de-icing area for quite a while. So far we have gorged ourselves at the buffet and have checked out the Lion's Habitat (kitty with his rawhide above). Tonight we head out to the old strip...after we have a nap. We definitely should NOT have stayed up to ring in the new year last night!

I feel sooooo bad about your "lonnnng hot flight:...NOT!!*L*..its -25C with the wind chill and another pile of snow!...you guys picked a good week to be away...supposed to be cold until Saturday. Happy New Year to you as well....have a great time!'

Enjoy the warm weather in Vegas.
Here,in Gatineau, we are in the deepfreze as well.
If you think you had a loooong trip, to Vegas, think again.
Just wait to to see when you are going to Capetown.
Myself, I spent 15 hours on the plane between San Francisco and Hong Kong, and I believe your trip is going to be even longer.
